Bill Ford, Executive Chair of Ford Motor Co., is appearing at the Free Press’ sold-out Breakfast Club event on Wednesday at the Daxton Hotel and will talk about the industry, the company, the Motor City, EVs, the company and profound change underway.
The event is being emceed by Carol Cain, award-winning Free Press columnist and senior producer/host of CBS Detroit’s “Michigan Matters.”
Ford, who joined the company in 1979, is great-grandson of founder Henry Ford. He’s also champion of the much-anticipated $1 billion Michigan Central Station renovation project which is set to open June 6. Ford will talk about it and a new community effort tied to it launched by he and his wife, Lisa, as they work with the Children’s Foundation to raise $10 million to set up permanent endowments for 10 youth serving nonprofits in Detroit.
Launched by the Free Press in 2018, “The Breakfast Club” — is held a few times a year — and has featured influential leaders from business, politics, sports and education talking about vital issues impacting the region.
